
Texas Tech Regent Cody Campbell Accepts Presidential Appointment
Texas Tech University Regent Chairman Cody Campbell has been appointed to President Donald Trump's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Campbell is well known inside and outside both the sports and business worlds.
Regent Cody Campbell Accepts Presidential Appointment
According to a release from Texas Tech University, the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition would work on finding solutions for the future of college sports. Campbell posted on X that he was grateful for President Trump's focus and commitment to Saving College Sports and that he was looking forward to working with the administration.
Campbell is a fourth generation Red Raider and former Texas Tech football player who played in the NFL for two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Campbell graduated from Texas Tech and became the co-CEO and co-founder of Double Eagle Energy Holdings. He has been instrumental in Texas Tech Athletics and sit on the Board of Regents at Texas Tech University where he was elected Chairman in April

Both Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt and Texas Tech Football Coach Joey McGuire congratulated Campbell for the appointment.
