Southwestern Public Service and Xcel Energy Seek Wind Energy Resources

An area energy company is seeking additional wind energy resources.

Southwestern Public Service, a component of Xcel Energy, is currently seeking proposals for more wind energy resources as part of their resource planning process.

SPS is requesting proposals for wind generation resources that could begin delivery to SPS on or after January 1^st, 2014, but no later than December 31^st, 2015. They would be contracted through a power purchase agreement.

Their complete bid package will be available on Monday, March 18^th at www.xcelenergy.com. Bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday, April 12^th.
