Southbound Main Lanes of Interstate 27 to Close Friday

Some Interstate 27 lanes will close this weekend.

The southbound main lanes of I-27 in New Deal will close on Friday, June 6^th to allow crews to remove sections of concrete barriers.

The lane closures will allow TxDOT crews to conduct the operation safely.

The southbound main lanes will close to traffic at 9 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured onto the frontage road at the north Loop 461 exit.

All lanes are expected to reopen late Friday afternoon.
