AUSTIN (AP) - Junior Haley Fowler scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as defending state champion Smyer defeated Martin's Mill 52-49 in a rematch of the 2010 finals.

Fowler scored 11 of her points in the deciding fourth quarter that saw the Lady Cats (35-2) rally from a 43-42 deficit with 2:59 left. Fowler was named the championship game's MVP for the second straight state tournament.

Smyer sophomore Kennedy Farr added 17 points and six rebounds.

AUSTIN (AP) - Roddricka Patton scored 20 points to go with eight assists and Neches rolled to its second consecutive Class 1A Division II state championship.

Neches (37-4) forced 32 turnovers a day after forcing 33 in a semifinals win over Lipan.

Meagan Paris scored 15 points for Whitharral (30-8). This was the first appearance for Whitharral in the State Tournament in Austin.
