Slaton Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase Through Lubbock

Lubbock Police have arrested the driver of a stolen pickup after a high-speed chase ended in Central Lubbock.

The chase took place around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning (Nov. 14) when police tried to pull over a red Chevy pickup in the 4300 block of 34^th Street.

The pursuit ended near 42^nd Street and Boston Avenue when the driver, 29 year-old Joel Anthony Castro of Slaton, ditched the truck and tried to flee the scene on foot.

Castro was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $36,000 bond.
