On Tuesday's edition on Lubbock's First News, we discussed Michele Bachmann's candidacy for President of the United States. While talking about her qualifications, I was reminded of something that happened the day before. When asked about Bachmann's candidacy, more than one woman told me that while she agreed with Bachmann and liked Bachmann's stance on the issues, they didn't think it was a good idea for a woman to be President.

Why? Because a female President might not get the respect around the world as a male and because women often make judgement calls based on emotion.

The women I talked to were all very conservative, but just didn't believe that a woman should be President of the United States.

What do you think?
