Science Spectrum Is Hosting an Adults-Only ‘Space Night’
Lubbock's Science Spectrum is a fun place to take kids and visitors to the Hub City, but now the educational museum is offering fun and activities for adults who are 21 years of age or older.
According to the Science Spectrum website, "All Growed Up" is a series of adult only events during this summer. The events will "feature an adult atmosphere with live music, food trucks, a cash bar and adult oriented hands-on science activities."
In other words, it's a fun time for big geeks who are also old enough to legally drink alcohol, enjoy some good grub and like to learn a thing or two.
Thursday, July 18th, the Science Spectrum is hosting Space Night as part of the series. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and feature live shows presented with a portable planetarium along with a special screening of the footage of the original coverage of the Apollo 11 mission.
Tickets for the event for non-members will be $12 per person at the door on the night of the event. The night promises "games, prizes and much more," so if you're looking for something to do Thursday night, go get your geek on at the Science Spectrum.
