Friday on Lubbock's First News, James Nesmith gave the details on the events surrounding the Science Spectrum's 25th anniversary celebration.

Saturday, February 22 2-4 pm, the Science Spectrum will host a birthday party to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The free event will offer cake, ice cream, games, and science experiments. Admission must still be paid to access other parts of the Science Spectrum.

The OMNI Theater is featuring the film Jerusalem and will soon add Penguins, a film "all about a penguin and his life journey in Antarctica and going on an exhibition and coming home." In addition the Science Spectrum will welcome a live traveling penguin exhibition, Penguin Plunge, for the Spring. It will be accompanied by a photo exhibition by woman who travels in Antarctica, as well as activities for kids and families. The exhibition will run March 1 through June 15.
