Ronda Menefee Talks Lubbock’s ‘Laugh for the Cure’ [Interview]
Susan G. Komen Foundation Treasurer Ronda Menefee joined Tom and Laura Thursday morning to talk about the 7th Annual Laugh for the Cure in Lubbock.
Entertainment includes comedian Eric DeLeon from Snyder, Texas and headlining comedian Mutzie. There will also be a silent auction featuring handbags designed by several survivors.
One question about the event was where the proceeds go. Says Menefee:
They stay right here in local Lubbock Komen with our 16 region counties that we touch and serve in our region and it goes to help us grant to the people that do the medical services in this area. $100 will pay for a mammogram on those services. My breast cancer was found with a mammogram. It is a blessing to get those services to the people that we want to serve.
Laugh for the Cure is Friday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater.
