Multiple road projects will begin in Lubbock on Monday, August 17th.

At 8 a.m., construction of a major sanitary sewer line on Quaker Avenue from 133rd to 135th Street will continue. The two southbound lanes along Quaker Avenue will be closed until September 4th.

Also on Monday, operations will begin to mill and pave the Marsha Sharp Freeway main lanes from Milwaukee Avenue to West Loop 289. This work will close both east and westbound inside lanes. This closure is expected to last for around two weeks.

Drivers should anticipate slow moving traffic in these areas and are advised to stay alert when entering the work zone, or to find alternate routes of travel.
