The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony today ushering the Lubbock Lemonade Day event to the Hub City.

Lemonade Day is a free program that aims to teach kids how to star, own and operate their own business: a lemonade stand. The ribbon cutting event will be at 4:30 p.m. at United Market Street at 50th and Indiana Avenue. Congressman Randy Neugebauer is scheduled to attend.

Lubbock Lemonade Day itself will be May 5th. The goal is to reach 2,500 students through hundreds of lemonade stands across the city. To register for the program, go online to lubbock.lemonadeday.org.
