Thursday, Governor of Texas Greg Abbott joined the Chad Hasty Show to talk about his book "Broken But Unbowed," which is now available.

In the book, Gov. Abbott tells how he fought back against adversity, after an accident which left him unable to walk. Using his personal story, Abbott explains how America can bring itself back on track, and "restore the rule of law in the United States of America."

"My life was broken when that big tree crashed down onto my back, leaving me paralyzed. But yet I remain unbowed, because I fought back," Gov. Abbott told Hasty. "And it was after my accident that I went on to become a Supreme Court Justice, the longest serving Attorney General in Texas history, and now the Governor of the state."

Speaking about the race for the White House, and the importance of the election, Abbott said:

"Because Washington is so broken, because each branch of the federal government has violated the Constitution, in a way it doesn't matter who's going to be elected President. Whoever wins that race is going to step into a system that is broken, and we have to repair the Constitution for whoever becomes the next president."

Abbott continued to give specific examples of how the rule of law is being subverted in the country and talks about how to restore America to the country that was envisioned by the founders.
