Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us and while many will be cooking out and enjoying a long weekend at home, some will be traveling to one of our many State Parks in Texas.

Texas State Parks, like Palo Duro Canyon, are popular destinations on holidays which means they can become full. If you show up to a park that has reached it's limit you either have to wait for someone to leave or turn around and go back home.

However, you can avoid all of that by purchasing a Save the Day Pass. Purchasing a day pass in advance guarantees that you will be able to gain entry into the park. The cost is just the cost of the gate entry and kids 12 and under get free passes.

It's a good idea to buy one in advance if you know you may not get to the State Park early.
