Rep. Randy Neugebauer Says Puerto Rico as the 51st State Is a “Possibility”
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth, not a state. But some members of congress believe it should be a state. On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Rep. Randy Neugebauer was asked if he would like to see the commonwealth become a state.
“I think that’s a possibility,” Neugebauer said. “I don’t really have a feeling one way or the other. If the Puerto Rican people want to do that, there’s a process
for that. I’m not out there campaigning to make Puerto Rico the 51st state.”
