Rep. Randy Neugebauer: Expect “Very Substantial” Impact if Defense Budget Is Cut
If the Super Committee does not reach an agreement, automatic cuts will occur. Rep. Randy Neugebauer told KFYO the impact on defense would be very substantial.
“You know, over 50% of the cuts would go to defense. So if they don’t come up with anything, that would be about a $600 billion cut in defense over the next ten years. So that’s not a good thing.”
Neugebauer said the cuts would obviously red
uce the government’s ability to defend the American people.
