On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show Representative Jodey Arrington joined the show to talk about President Trump's State of the Union Address, and what he expects from Congress and the White House in the coming months.

Arrington and Hasty discussed the values and priorities being declared by the president, and the divisive and acrimonious tone being taken by many on the left, as well as the likelihood of a national emergency declaration, or another partial government shutdown in the debate over a border wall and national security.

During his description of the extremely bitter tone and hostility being shown toward the president's priorities, especially by some of the left-wing representatives during the State of the Union Address, Arrington said,

The only time that the group of ladies there in the middle wearing white dresses stood was to cheer for themselves. They didn't cheer for five million people that have come off of food stamps, and the five plus million jobs that have been created, the new opportunities, the hope for a better future. I mean they didn't cheer for creating a culture [that values life], as we are creatures, born and unborn, created in the image of God. None of that. They stood and they danced and cheered for themselves.
