Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest is hosting a social fundraiser on Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m. to benefit families who are faced with sudden or long-term health issues for their children.

The Red Shoe Shindig is an annual event hosted by the local Ronald McDonald House Charities and is the one night per year that the group holds a social event, so they make sure to do it up right and ensure that it is special for attendees and sponsors.

We had Julie Barron and Miguel Lozano in the FMX studio to tell us more about the event, and we learned that it's going to be a great time had by all involved with the event. Those planning to attend should be ready to have a great time with lots of laughs, games and, of course, the enticing silent auction items which will surely help with getting a jump on early Christmas shopping for interesting gifts while helping out with a good cause.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available, and tickets to the event can be purchased online. We encourage everyone who may be unable to attend to still give to RMHC for the amazing impacts that the organization has on the lives of families who are facing difficult struggles with medical issues.

One great way to get involved and have fun is by helping to raise money through the Red Shoe Crew, a group of individuals who are giving their time and attention specifically to bring attention to the event.

Since Miguel was kind enough to get up early to be on The RockShow, we thought we'd help him out by posting a direct link to his fundraising page here to make it easier for him and the crew at Laugh Hub City to win the prize for most funds raised.

According to RMHC of the Southwest website, "The Heart & Sole Award will be given to the Red show Crew member, or team, who made the biggest positive impact on the community during the campaign. Using outreach, events, education and friend-raising, this new addition to the Red Shoe Shindig is a reflection of appreciation for Keeping Families Close by creative means."

We'd like to see Miguel & Laugh Hub City comedians win, but more importantly we'd like to see a huge turnout to the event.
