An investor and hedge fund founder will be featured at an event this week.

Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business will host Kyle Bass, a portfolio manager and principal of Hayman Capital Management, a hedge fund.

Bass founded Hayman Capital Management once he saved up $10 million from selling bonds for Wall Street Firms. He gambled against the sub-prime mortgage market in 2008, a wager which paid off quite well for Bass and only fourteen other people.

The event is part of the Rawls College of Business’ Chief Executive Roundtable Speaker Series. It will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2nd at the Valley of Lubbock Scottish Rite, located at 1101 70th Street.

The Roundtable luncheon is open to members only. For information on becoming a member, visit http://cer.ba.ttu.edu.
