This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to head out to the 22nd Annual Ragin' Cajun fundraiser. Proceeds went to benefit the Special Olympics and by the looks of it, they made a good amount of money.

My fiancee and I went around 8pm and there was still a good crowd enjoying the silent and live auctions, music, and of course the food. If you were hungry, the City Bank Coliseum was the place to be on Saturday. From 4 to 10pm, those who attended were treated to crab legs (so good), shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and corn.

This wasn't like one serving. It was all you could eat and at the end of the night they were selling food that you could take home and have later. My favorite item was the crab. It was fresh and very, very good. At one point they thought they had run out, but to our delight they had more. When the server asked if we wanted more, we of course said yes.

A lot of people had fun and the money went to a great organization. If you can, be sure and plan on making out to the 23rd Ragin' Cajun next year. You will be glad that you did.
