Racing Not the Cause of Frenship High School Car Crash
Authorities have determined a Frenship student was not racing when he flipped his pickup with two passengers on north Milwaukee last week. However they do believe that speed was a factor in the crash. The Lubbock police department also says that 15-year-old driver Ivan Uribe’s inexperience also contributed to the crash.
Uribe only had a learner’s permit when he flipped his truck while driving over 70mph last Wednesday and uprooted a tree. Uribe and another 15 year old passenger remain in the hospital with serious injuries. The third boy, 15-year-old Isaiah Washington, has since been released after suffering serious injuries.
