In this day and age where we use all this super-advanced, high-tech crime detection equipment, it's hard to believe some people still use visions from so-called "psychics" to find crimes. But one woman's vision of a possible crime sparked national attention, even though it was totally wrong.

According to the psychic "Angel," she told Liberty County police that three children might be in trouble. In an interview with the Houston Chronicle, she denied telling police that anyone was dead or that they needed to search for bodies. But somehow, most likely through the magic of media, her tip ballooned into a grisly rumor of up to 30 dead bodies in a mass grave.

Well, either way, the tip proved to be false.

Now Angel is saying that she was wronged and fears for the children who might not be found. She is also afraid all the media attention her "vision" has generated will destroy her life if her identity is made public. Angel could face misdemeanor charges of filing a false report or making false statements.

You know, if "Angel" really was a psychic, wouldn't she have known this was going to happen?
