You know you have a serious problem child on your hands when you have to call the police to handle a temper tantrum.

Georgia police officers are standing by their decision to place a 6-year-old Salecia Johnson in handcuffs after the girl threw a "tantrum" in the principal's office of her elementary school. Her parents, naturally, objected to the police handcuffing and arresting the girl, saying that her "misbehavior" wasn't bad enough for police to get involved. The police report, however, says otherwise.

According to the police report, Johnson's combative behavior included throwing furniture, including a small shelf, which struck the principal on the leg. The child was also observed "biting the doorknob of the office and jumping on the paper shredder." The report stated Johnson also "attempted to break a glass frame above the shredder."

"I noticed the damage to school property and possible assault of other students and staff," the responding officer said in the report.

Salecia was charged with simple battery and criminal damage to property, but will not be charged due to her age.

All I have to say is what is wrong with these parents? This goes way beyond your general "misbehavior." This child was an absolute terror, and the police were completely justified in handcuffing her. It's just one more example of what happens when parents let their kids run around wild without any discipline whatsoever.
