The office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Tuesday (April 6th) that Paxton has sued the Biden administration over what he says is their failure to take custody of dangerous, criminal illegal aliens.

According to Paxton's lawsuit, the Biden administration is refusing to take custody of criminal illegal aliens, including dangerous felons and drug manufacturers. The State of Texas also alleges that "dangerous, illegal aliens already convicted of felony offenses" are allowed to freely roam around the United States.

According to a press release, Paxton said the Biden administration is refusing to enforce the law:

“President Biden’s outright refusal to enforce the law is exacerbating an unprecedented border crisis. By failing to take custody of criminal aliens and giving no explanation for this reckless policy change, the Biden Administration is demonstrating a blatant disregard for Texans’ and Americans’ safety,” said Attorney General Paxton. “Law and order must be immediately upheld and enforced to ensure the safety of our communities. Dangerous and violent illegal aliens must be removed from our communities as required by federal law.”

The lawsuit continues to highlight the disagreement between Texas and Republican officials versus the Biden administration and the current crisis on the United States-Mexico border.

According to the press release from Paxton's office, after a memo from the Biden administration ICE has had to rescind many detainer requests which has led the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to release criminals into the public or house them at the expense of Texas taxpayers.
