Paul McCartney Concert in Lubbock Rescheduled to October
The Paul McCartney concert scheduled to occur in Lubbock this weekend has been postponed until October.
A press release from the United Supermarkets Arena Monday afternoon announced that the former Beatle will heed medical advice to recuperate from the virus that forced the postponement of his recent concert dates in Japan and Korea.
The Out There world tour will resume on July 5th in Albany, New York. The shows originally scheduled for June 14th through the 26th will be moved to October.
McCartney will perform at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock on October 2nd, 2014. He will perform on October 11th in New Orleans and on October 13th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Tickets for the original June dates will be honored for the rescheduled shows.
“I’m sorry, but it’s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again,” said McCartney. “I’m feeling great but taking my docs’ advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.”
McCartney originally planned to kick off the U.S leg of his “Out There” tour in Lubbock, after requesting to begin his concert series in the hometown of one of his childhood heroes, Buddy Holly.
