One Year After Tragic Accident, Paralyzed Bride Finally Weds

Here's a couple who perfectly embodies the classic wedding vow "in sickness and health."

Rachelle Friedman of North Carolina is finally marrying her fiance Chris Chapman one year after a terrible accident left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Friedman was injured after one of her friends shoved her in the shallow end of a pool at her bachelorette party. According to Friedman, she hit the bottom of the pool in an awkward way and begged her friends to call 9-1-1.

Amazingly, what would have torn apart other couples has served to strengthen Friedman and Crawford's relationship. Neither of them even considered leaving the other. And even more amazing, Friedman has stuck by the friend who caused the accident, refusing to release her name to the media.

If these two soon-to-be newlyweds can survive something as horrific as this, I've got no doubts that these two will have a successful and happy marriage.
