One-Vehicle Accident in New Mexico Leaves One Dead

New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday night (Jan. 7) in Lea County.

KAMC News reports that 28-year-old James Sitton was driving a Dodge Truck north on County Road 2 when he left the roadway and rolled multiple times. Sitton was thrown from the vehicle. After police arrived, he was transported to Odessa Medical Center where he later died.

A passenger in the truck was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

No further information on the health of the passenger or cause of the accident is available at this time.
