
One Person Left with Serious Injuries After Hit-And-Run in Central Lubbock
A pedestrian was left with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Central Lubbock on August 21.
The victim, identified as 19 year-old Christian Johnson, states he was walking along Avenue Q at 9:25 p.m. Saturday night. Then he began walking eastbound across the 5800 block of South Avenue Q Drive when a vehicle traveling southbound struck him.
The vehicle fled the scene, leaving Johnson in the road and failing to stop and render aid. Johnson was taken to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries.
Authorities are looking for a white 2014-2018 GMC Sierra pickup truck with damage on the front. An investigation into this hit-and-run is ongoing.
