Lubbock Police Identify Woman Killed in Late-Night Crash
A deadly accident occurred in Lubbock in the 2100 block of 50th Street Thursday night (Jan. 18).
Police say that 33-year-old Quisha Rotay Cook was on the south side of 50th Street and was crossing the street to the north side. A motorcyclist, who has been identified as 27-year-old Marcus Mendoza, was traveling westbound and struck Cook.
Cook was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mendoza was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, though they are believed to be non-life threatening.
