Obama-Robber Finally Caught

To remain unrecognized while nabbing loads of cash from various banks across Upper Austria, a man, nicknamed the “Obama-robber,” donned one of the world’s most recognized faces. He began robbing banks in 2008 and, in 2009, began wearing a Barack Obama mask for each robbery.

On Thursday, the man was finally arrested.

The arrest happened following yet another bank robbery that occurred near the town of Voecklabruck. The Obama-robber held an employee at gunpoint and then fled to his car, cash in hand. A few hours later, police took him into custody.

The mask, weapon and money on his person were likely a dead giveaway.
