Nurse With Ebola Causes Wedding Shop to Go Out of Business
Here's proof that word of mouth can make or break any business.
A wedding shop in Akron, Ohio has announced it is shutting its doors for good after a Dallas nurse who was later diagnosed with Ebola visited the store last October.
Amber Vinson went to Coming Attractions Bridal & Formal with her bridesmaids to try on dresses. After Vinson was diagnosed with Ebola, word spread she had been to Coming Attractions, so owner Anna Younker closed the store and had it completely cleaned.
She may have cleaned the shop, but Younker could not shake the stigma.
Younker claims Vinson asked for her money back for the bridesmaids dresses she planned to buy, but Younker refused. She also says she said the lost business due to Vinson's presence cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
