Northwest Loop 289 Bridge Work to Cause Interchange Closure Early Tuesday Morning

Bridge deck work has been scheduled for Northwest Loop 289.

The Quaker/Erskine interchange at Northwest Loop 289 will close beginning at 1 a.m. Tuesday, August 6^th and will remain closed until around 6:30 a.m.

The closure is to allow contractor Haydon Construction to pour the southbound Loop 289 bridge deck.

The work is part of a $22.5 million project to widen the loop from four to six lanes of traffic and rebuild the Quaker/Erskine interchange, according to TxDOT. 

Traffic will be detoured around the area via the loop frontage roads.

The construction will take place weather permitting.
