Three more Lubbock-area teachers have been honored by Mrs. Baird’s Bread and United Supermarkets.

On Monday, The United Family and Mrs. Baird’s Bread announced the winners of their “Teachers on the Rise” award for May.

The three winners for May are Donna Corbin of Bowie Elementary in Lubbock ISD, Donna Hillstrom of Lubbock-Cooper Middle School, and Christina Baca of Frenship High School.

“We are thrilled to recognize three more outstanding teachers this month for their fantastic service in our community,” said Shelby Crews, community relations manager for The United Family.

The teachers receive a $100 United Supermarkets gift card and a $100 VISA gift card. Students that nominate a winning teacher also receives a $50 VISA gift card.

The Teachers on the Rise program will hold a banquet this month to recognize all of their winners.

Winners of the award for May are the final group of instructors to be honored for the 2013-14 school year.

Teachers on the Rise is also sponsored by News/Talk 790 KFYO, 102.5 KISS-FM, KAMC-TV, and the Texas Classroom Teachers Association.
