A man who robbed a downtown Lubbock bank will spend over 3 years in prison.

55-year-old Carlton Ray Taylor was sentenced Friday morning to 41 months in prison for robbing Lubbock National Bank on New Year’s Eve 2010.

Taylor reportedly walked into the bank, located at 1001 Main Street, stood around near a counter in the lobby, and then left. A short time later, Taylor returned, walked directly to a teller’s window, and showed a note demanding money. Taylor had a hand in his pocket, leading the teller to believe that he may have had a weapon.

His note simply said "It's a hold up."

After Taylor left the scene and the alarm system was activated, the teller, who recognized Taylor from
