Man Impregnates 14-Year-Old Girl From Kansas Who’s Wanted for Attempted Murder

A 24-year-old man has admitted to taking a 14-year-old girl from Kansas to Muleshoe for sex.

KAMC News reports that back in January, Muleshoe Police were contacted by police in Dodge City, Kansas to assist in locating a runaway. That runaway apparently had a pending charge of attempted murder and was out on release with an ankle monitor. However, it's believed that she cut off the monitor to flee with a man now identified as Marcos Jacobo Morales-Jose, a Guatemalan national living in the US as a permanent resident.

Muleshoe police went to the residence they suspected the girl to be at and found her living with Morales-Jose. She said the two met in September 2021 and became pregnant by Morales-Jose in December.

The girl apparently told Morales-Jose that she was 14 years old on multiple occasions.

Both were taken into custody on January 20th of 2022, and Morales-Jose pleaded guilty on Thursday, April 28th. If a judge accepts his plea deal, he faces at the very least 10 years in prison.
