Man Confesses to the Murder of Lubbock Woman Katrina Castillo
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a suspect has confessed to the murder of Katrina Castillo.
Twenty-year-old Xavier Garcia has been charged with the murder of Castillo. Garcia was named as a person of interest in the case yesterday. The warrant did not describe what led to her death. It just said that Garcia confessed that he stabbed her in the 4200 block of East 2nd Street.
Castillo’s body was found in the backyard Monday evening by the Sheriff’s Office.
Garcia is currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $350,000 bond.
