In a release today Lubbock fire officials updated some information on recent fires.

41-year-old Eric Wolfe has been connected to the fire at the Family Counseling Center. He was arrested in Seagraves for parole violation warrants and was subsequently charged with a second degree felony arson charge. He allegedly set fire to the Family Counseling Services in the Briercroft Center at Ave Q and 55th in late September. Security cameras captured him pull into the parking lot, pour and ignite flammable fluid on the building and then flee in his pickup.

Authorities are also still seeking witnesses that they believe have information on the arsonists who set fire to the LaKumbia night club earlier this year. The fire was set just after 4:45am Sunday, at 5001 Avenue Q.  The club suffered minor damage and several incendiary devices were recovered by investigators.  La Kumbia is offering a reward of $1000 for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for setting the fire. Anyone with information on the nightclub fire is encouraged to contact crime line at 741-1000.

Finally, a fire at Churches Chicken at 1702 50th has been deemed accidental. Electrical wires could have caused the fire which caused around $40,000 in damages.
