A man was arrested after threatening to kill a woman in Lubbock. The Lubbock Police Department was dispatched to the 7500 block of I-27 on Friday, December 8, after reports of a domestic dispute. At the scene police found the victim suffering from an injury to her left eye after an argument with 41-year-old Adams Sands occurred.
KAMC news reports that the victim told police that Sands had gotten angry with her after an argument occurred between the two leading to him throwing beer and shoes at the victim. It was during that time that the victim states she was threatened by Sands who said he was "going to expletive kill her" which led to the victim calling 911 for help.
Sands reportedly went to the kitchen after the victim called the police for help and threatened to kill the victim with a hammer. When police arrived Sands states that nothing had happened but a previous report from a previous altercation between Sands the victim led officers to believe otherwise. Sands was arrested and charged with Continuous Violence Against the Family and Aggravated Assault of a Family Member with a Weapon Causing Severe Bodily Injury. As per the publishing of this article, Sands remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a combined bond totalling $50,000.
