Man Accepts Plea Agreement After Being Caught with 2,000 Grams of Meth
Yesterday morning (Dec. 18), a man accepted a plea deal in a federal court here in Lubbock.
KAMC News reports, 45 year-old Zacarias Blanco-Olea admitted to possessing nearly 2,000 grams of meth. Blanco-Olea was stopped by a DPS trooper for a traffic violation in July where the trooper found the meth.
In March, federal investigators were investigating another man for leading a meth operation here in Lubbock. Alejandro Garcia-Izazaga was helping Blanco-Olea traffic the meth from Dallas to Lubbock. A criminal case is still pending against Garcia-Izazaga.
If a judge approves the plea agreement, Blanco-Olea will be sentenced to no less than 10 years, or up to life in prison.
