Mackowiak: Texas Republicans Risk Property Tax Relief Oversell

Republican Strategist Matt Mackowiak joined The Chad Hasty Show on Tuesday to discuss Texas and national political news.

Mackowiak and Hasty first discussed the ongoing Texas legislative session in Austin and plans being put forward by lawmakers to attempt to deliver property tax relief to voters. When asked if Republican leaders had oversold relief to Texans, Mackowiak said it was possible that it will be viewed that way.

Mackowiak also discussed the proposal for a sales tax swap and that there doesn't seem to be enough support to pass such a measure. Mackowiak told KFYO that lawmakers will stick with what they have in property tax reform and "live to fight another day".

Mackowiak also discussed future Texas House races and some new polls for President Trump.
