Last week Republican Strategist Matt Mackowiak joined The Chad Hasty Show to discuss the state of the 2020 Election. Wouldn't you know that just a week later the election had suddenly turned in a new direction.

The 2020 Election was all about the coronavirus pandemic and the economy. Now, the United States Supreme Court is the focus after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

President Trump has said he will nominate a replacement for the court as Democrats demand the President and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wait until after the next election.

President Trump will name his nominee on Saturday and according to Mackowiak, this could have major implications on the Presidential Election as well as Senate races across the nation.

Mackowiak told KFYO that everything will have to go perfect in order for the nominee to be confirmed by election day. While some nominees have been confirmed in less than 40 days, according to Mackowiak the norm is 70 days.

Mackowiak also said Democrats will have a tough time attacking the character of Trump's nominee this go around.
