A Lubbock woman was killed in an accident near Idalou this week. The 75 year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene accord to a report from KAMC. Sara Ann Yielding was at the stop sign at 7th Street and US 62 according to the Texas Department of Public Safety, when she pulled in front of another vehicle.

According to KAMC, Yielding crashed into a car being driven by Alexis Dawn Heinrich of Idalou who was injured in the accident.

A DPS crash report said Yielding was stopped at a stop sign on 7th St and US 62.

Heinrich was going east on US 62 in the outside travel lane, DPS said. Yielding did not give the right of way to Heinrich, and instead pulled in front of her vehicle.

After crashing, both vehicles came to a rest in the center median.

So far these are the only details of the accident that have been released. KFYO News will update as needed.
