Lubbock Woman Accused of Running Internet Scam

KAMC 28 is reporting people in at least 11 states were allegedly ripped off by a Lubbock woman selling clothes and jewelry online. Customers who purchased items from Marcy’s Closet, Honey Child Fashionista and Material Girl Fashion say they never received their goods after making payments via pay pal and in person.

Some alleged victims believe the owner was targeting military families by offering them special military discounts. The owner of the sites says she was not running a scam operation and is in the process of returning money to the customers. She allegedly recruited other women to sell the goods, some of which have stepped forward to speak against her.
