For parents looking to achieve their fitness goals and tire their toddlers out for nap time, look no further than Adventure Park's newest attraction, Toddler Fitness Classes.

Manager and Certified Personal Trainer Joshua Kuhnley has created an array of full body exercise classes that engage both kids and their parents and they are only five dollars to attend.

"These classes are designed to to get the kids moving and also get the parents moving so that everyone feels like they got a bit of a workout," Kuhnley told me. "They are fun and silly. I'm hoping that a lot of memories will be made through this program."

Each week the classes have a new theme. Their first class featured an animal motif, with the following weeks incorporating superheroes, obstacle courses, and even a scavenger hunt.

Kuhnley also noted that these classes are a fantastic way to help your child grasp the importance of exercise.

"It's such an amazing thing for them to learn -- it's important for me to move and it's important for me to work out," he said. "There might be things they can't do, but if they are seeing you do it, they will try to follow your lead."

These are also spectacular opportunities to help your child develop hand eye coordination, balance, agility, and strength.

Best of all, Kuhnley is a parent to a toddler himself, so these classes are strategically designed with kids in mind. "It's in our pavilion at the back of the park which is gated, so if you've got a runner they're not going to be able to get very far," he said.

Moreover, these 45-minute classes are tailor made to keep your toddler's attention. In other words, the exercises are not only beneficial for the body, but also involve kid-approved movements, like bear crawls and alligator chomps.

If you would like to partake in this active and exciting venture, classes are held every Monday from 9:45 - 10:30 a.m. in June and July. Parents are welcome to pay in advance to save time when they arrive or pay per session. The cost is just $5 for adults, while toddlers 2 through 5 get in for free. More information can be found at this website.

All you need is a pair of tennis shoes and some sunscreen. You're also welcome to bring workout mats and sippy cups for the kids, but no other outside food or drinks are allowed. Lastly, make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
