Lubbock Man Found Shot Dead in Lynn County

The  death of a Lubbock man is now being investigated by the Lynn County Sheriff’s Department.

50-year-old Robert Balderrama was found shot to death in south Lynn County Sunday afternoon.  The man had been reported missing Sunday morning.

A farmer said he was driving along one of the roads on his land when he saw a vehicle aparently abandoned. When he approached he found Balderrama, dead from several gunshot wounds.

The car belonged to his wife, whom he had just remarried Friday.  Balderrama lived in Lubbock but was originally from O'Donnell.

Upon seeing the crime scene, the Lynn County Sheriff's Department called in the Texas Rangers for assistance.
