Both Lubbock Hastings Locations Are Closing Permanently This Week

It is truly the end of an era.

After receiving an email that Hastings was in the "last three days" of operation, I called over to the store and indeed, the Hastings at 82nd and Slide Road is closing permanently this Thursday night (Oct. 20) at 10 p.m. The 50th and Indiana Hastings store will close for good this Saturday night (Oct. 22) at 11 p.m.

According to the email, with limited exceptions all items are 80-90 percent off, all used books and music are 10 for $1 and prices have been reduced on all remaining fixtures.

Here's hoping we'll get a Half Price Books here in town to fill the cultural void.

All remaining Hastings locations must close on or before October 31 per the terms of their liquidation.
