Lubbock Fire Rescue Responds to Residence Fire

In the evening hours of Tuesday, December 22, a shed fire brought the Lubbock Fire Department to the 1300 Block of Bradley Street.

The fire broke out just east of Wright Elementary School, and spread to a nearby residence.

According to a KAMC photojournalist on the scene, the occupant of that home was able to escape the blaze.

EMS was called to check out the resident, but no further information has been made available on the condition of the victim or on the cause of the fire.

It has been reported that police blocked off streets in the area and more details are expected to emerge as the day progresses.
