It was a busy Monday morning for a group of Lubbock fighters.  The Lubbock Fire Department and a HAZMAT crew responded to a call of a hydrochloric acid leak just before 9a in East Lubbock.

The leak took place at Servco in the 2700 block of East 66th Street.  According to the Lubbock Fire Department, the leak came from a vent pipe connected to a tank holding 3,000 gallons of hydrochloric acid.  The leak was quickly contained and no one was injured.  After the acid was vented into a separate tank, Servco workers repaired the vent pent to prevent further leaks.
