A missing Tech student’s family is concerned after his car ended up in a Santa Monica tow-yard. The family of 24-year-old Eric Scheller says they haven’t had contact with him in months.

The Santa Monica Daily press says Scheller was reported missing after the family received a notice from Pacific Tow saying that his red Cavalier had been towed. Sheller lived off campus with two roommates who were seeking legal action against him after he failed to pay bills. They say he vanished along with his PlayStation 3, a laptop, and a handgun.

Family members say Sheller has no known connections on the West Coast, and that his sudden flight to California is out of character for the young man. If you have information on his whereabouts, contact the Lubbock Police Department at 775-2816.
