Motorists in Lubbock are seeing the lowest gas prices in Texas.

According to the weekly KFYO News Gas Price Survey, the average price of regular self-serve gas is $3.07 per gallon. That is a drop of 11 cents from last week.

Lubbock motorists were paying more at the pump a year ago with prices at $3.62 per gallon and three years ago were paying less at $2.56 per gallon.

Statewide prices also took another tumble according to the AAA Texas weekly survey as Texans are paying 8 cents less than a week ago at $3.20 per gallon.

Drivers in Amarillo and Austin are paying the most at $3.24 per gallon while Fort Worth Area motorists are paying the cheapest surveyed gas at $3.15 per gallon. Lubbock is not part of the AAA survey.

National averages also fell six cents to $3.43 per gallon.
