Saturday afternoon, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office released additional information concerning the victim of a homicide found in South Lubbock County on Friday.

The body found Friday morning has been identified as 25 year-old Antonio Gutierrez Garcia III of Mission, Texas. Garcia's body was found just before 11am, a half mile south of FM 1585 on County Road 2700 in southeast Lubbock County. Garcia had been shot multiple times before he died.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office describes Garcia as 6’ tall and weighing 200lbs. He has short black hair and goatee, both well groomed. He was wearing a white T-shirt that had "Brand Energy Solutions" printed on the front, blue jeans and white tennis shoes at the time he was murdered.

The Sheriff's Office is also searching for suspects involved in a vehicle fire that is connected to the homicide. The vehicle fire occurred in the 4300 block of East 2nd Street, in East Lubbock County, during the early morning hours of Friday, September 11, 2015. The vehicle, belonged to Garcia, and it was a grey 2012 four-door Nissan Altima. It was discovered just before 5:45am, Friday morning, and it was fully engulfed in flames. The Sheriff's Office believes the vehicle was driven there and set on fire by an unknown person(s) connected to this homicide.

Anyone with information about this homicide or vehicle fire is urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000 or the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office at 775-1600. Callers will remain anonymous, and a reward is available.
